Sometimes we know we’re ready for something to change, but understanding why we do what we do isn’t enough to actually change it.
We may find ourselves repeating the same relationship dynamics, emotional responses, beliefs, physical patterns, or life challenges—even after years of thinking about them, talking about them, or trying to “move on.” We may understand the story perfectly and still discover that some part of us continues to respond as though the old story is happening now.
Metapsychology Coaching™ draws from the work of Dr. Evette Rose, founder of the Metaphysical Anatomy Technique™ (MAT), and her decades of work exploring the relationship between our experiences, subconscious patterns, emotions, nervous system, and the messages of the body. I trained directly with Dr. Rose and became a certified Metapsychology Coach in the spring of 2026.
One of the foundational ideas within this work is beautifully simple: the body has a language of its own, and we can learn to listen to it.
Our experiences can influence far more than our conscious thoughts. They can contribute to beliefs, emotional triggers, protective responses, relationship patterns, and the ways we experience ourselves and the world around us. Dr. Rose's Metaphysical Anatomy work explores psychosomatic and subconscious patterns associated with experiences throughout life—and even patterns she describes as connected to ancestry, conception, the womb, birth, childhood, and adulthood.
Instead of asking only, “What is wrong with me?” this work invites us to become curious and ask different questions:
What happened that made this response make sense?
What has my mind or body been trying to protect me from?
What pattern is underneath the pattern I can see?
And does that pattern still serve the person I am today?
One of the things I value most about this approach is that you do not have to make the painful story the center of the process. Healing and personal growth do not always require repeatedly talking through every detail of a difficult experience or intentionally reliving it. We can instead gently explore the emotional and subconscious patterns that developed around our experiences and work with what is showing up in the present.
As Dr. Rose's work reminds us, trauma and difficult experiences are things that happened to us; they do not have to become our identity.
Our sessions are collaborative, compassionate, curious, and centered around where you are right now. Together, we listen for the patterns underneath the pattern—the places where thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, beliefs, behaviors, and lived experience intersect.
This isn't about deciding that every physical symptom has an emotional cause, nor is Metapsychology Coaching a substitute for appropriate medical or mental-health care. Instead, it offers another lens through which you can become curious about yourself and explore the connections between your experiences, emotional world, subconscious patterns, and body.
And perhaps most importantly, this work is not about fixing you.
It is about listening to the parts of you that may have been waiting to be heard, understanding why certain patterns developed in the first place, and creating an opportunity to choose something different now.
The goal is greater awareness. Greater choice. Greater self-trust.
And ultimately, the freedom to become more fully you.
